Fintech Recruiters in Dallas

Dallas fintech recruiters

Your Dallas fintech recruitment specialists

Nexus IT Group recruits fintech professionals for Dallas-Fort Worth employers: banking and payments engineers, risk and compliance technologists, quantitative developers, data and platform engineers along with the CTOs and heads of engineering who run regulated products. We place contract, contract-to-hire and permanent staff across the sectors that make Dallas a banking, wealth-management and payments hub before anything else, from Charles Schwab and Fidelity Investments at the Solana campus in Westlake to JPMorgan Chase and Capital One at Legacy West in Plano, Texas Capital Bancshares in Uptown Dallas and MoneyGram downtown.

Our Dallas candidate network has been built over years of searches for banks, wealth managers, payment companies and mortgage lenders across the metro, out through Plano and Frisco to the market infrastructure firms building the city's newest stock exchange. Every search runs outbound to passive engineers, with three calls before you see anyone and a shortlist within 4 days, the same fintech recruiting process we run for clients nationwide. Candidates are screened on the banking, payments or risk systems they have actually shipped, so the first interview is about fit rather than verification.

Hiring fintech talent in Dallas?

The Dallas market

Where Dallas hires fintech talent

Four sectors carry most of the demand, and the banking and wealth-management campuses dominate the others, because Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments, JPMorgan Chase, Capital One and USAA all run some of the largest engineering and operations campuses in the metro.

Banking and wealth-management campuses

The out-of-state banks and brokers that built regional campuses across the metro, led by Charles Schwab's 1.16 million square foot campus in Westlake, which houses more than 5,000 employees.

What shapes a Dallas fintech search right now

The Texas Stock Exchange is trading

The Texas Stock Exchange won SEC approval in September 2025, began trading on 6 July 2026 and now runs live from Travis Street in Dallas, issuing trader alerts and taking primary listings. Texas Capital Bank lists new exchange traded funds there on 16 September 2026, and the exchange is backed by Charles Schwab, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock and Citadel Securities. A working exchange needs listing, market data, surveillance and connectivity engineers in Dallas, and so do the members connecting to it.

Big tech sets the local pay ceiling

Amazon is the highest paying employer for a software engineer in Dallas, at an average total compensation of $253,500. Robert Half puts an AI and machine learning engineer here between $152,800 and $220,300, with a median of $194,700. A bank or fintech hiring senior engineering talent is bidding against those numbers, so the brief has to lead with scope and ownership rather than base pay alone.

Texas Capital Bancshares posted double-digit profit growth

Texas Capital Bancshares reported second quarter 2026 net income available to common stockholders of $80.6 million, up 10% year over year, with total assets of $33.9 billion at 30 June 2026, up from $31.9 billion a year earlier. The bank remains headquartered in Uptown Dallas and pointed to loan growth as a driver. Balance-sheet growth at that pace tends to show up first in credit, risk and compliance hiring rather than in front-office roles.

Dallas works from the office

Dallas office occupancy reached 64.9% in the week to 2 September 2026, up 3.1 points on the week before and higher than every large metro except Austin. New York ran at 53.9% and San Francisco at 45.4% over the same week. A Dallas search can assume a largely in-office candidate pool, which changes how a hybrid or remote role has to be pitched here.

SERVICES

Four ways to staff a Dallas fintech team from a retained CTO search to contract build capacity

Executive Search (Retained)

We run retained searches for fintech leadership in Dallas, including CTO, VP of Engineering, Head of Platform and the risk and compliance technology leaders that regulated banks and lenders require. Investors and boards frequently sit in on these processes, whether the company is a bank at Legacy West in Plano or a payments platform downtown, so the shortlist has to survive a board conversation as well as a technical one. Our retained placements hold a 96% candidate retention rate.

Direct Hire

Fintech engineers in Dallas are courted heavily by the banks at Legacy West and Solana and rarely answer adverts, so our recruiters work outbound into banking, payments, mortgage and market-infrastructure candidates depending on what the role actually touches. We deliver a vetted shortlist within 4 days of taking the requirement, with every candidate screened on the systems they have actually shipped rather than what a resume claims. That approach holds across the Uptown, Legacy West and downtown Dallas job markets alike.

Contract Staffing

Regulatory deadlines, market launches and quarterly growth arrive with dates attached and often need capacity rather than headcount, as Texas Capital Bancshares' rise to $33.9 billion in total assets and the Texas Stock Exchange's 6 July 2026 launch both show. We serve as both the recruiter and the W2 employer for the contract term, which keeps co-employment risk off your side and gives you a clean way to convert the engineer if the work becomes permanent. Our contract placements hold a 94.3% quality of hire ratio.

Recruitment as a Service

A Dallas fintech scaling after a funding round, or a bank building out a new compliance function, is usually hiring across engineering, data and product at the same time, which is where per-placement fees stop making sense. Our Recruitment as a Service subscription handles candidate marketing, sourcing, screening and delivery for the whole plan, leaving your Dallas engineers the technical assessment. We generate an engaged pipeline for a named fintech role in under 7 days.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about fintech recruiting in Dallas

It starts with a discovery call to define the role, the stack, the regulatory context and the onsite expectation. From there our recruiters run an outbound campaign to passive engineers in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and hold three calls with each candidate before you see them, then deliver a shortlist of two or three. We stay in touch with every placed candidate for two years, and we travel for retained leadership searches.

Mostly the banks and wealth managers with campuses in Westlake, Plano and Uptown Dallas, the payments and custody platforms downtown, the mortgage and consumer lending groups and the market infrastructure firms building the city's new stock exchange. Those are the employers running platforms large enough to need specialist engineers, which is where an outside recruiter earns its fee. We also take searches from smaller Dallas fintechs hiring their first payments or compliance engineer.

It depends on the role and on how far the compensation sits from the market. A payments engineer or data engineer search typically produces a shortlist within a week, while a quantitative developer or CTO search takes longer. Current Dallas salary bands are a reasonable first check on whether a budget is in range, and where we have an active pipeline we can deliver candidates the day the contract is signed.

Both, and the mix follows the work. Contract and contract-to-hire is common for regulatory builds, market launches and balance-sheet growth at Dallas banks and lenders, while permanent placement and retained search cover the standing engineering and product teams. We are the W2 employer for the length of any contract, so the engineer can be converted later if the work proves ongoing.

Ask how many fintech roles they filled in the last twelve months and what their twelve-month retention is, then ask whether the recruiter on your search has placed the same role before. Our own figures are 96% of placed candidates still employed after twelve months and a 92% offer acceptance rate. A recruiter who cannot answer those questions for Dallas specifically is guessing at the market.
