Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze revenue cycle performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Investigate denial patterns and their root causes
• Build reports and dashboards covering revenue cycle metrics
• Support system configuration affecting billing and claims
• Analyze charge capture completeness and accuracy
• Support payer contract analysis and reimbursement modeling
• Work with clinical and coding teams on documentation issues
• Monitor accounts receivable and aging
• Support process improvement projects and measure their effect
• Maintain documentation of measure definitions and methodology

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, business or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years in revenue cycle analysis or operations
• Understanding of the full revenue cycle from registration to payment
• Strong SQL or advanced spreadsheet analysis skills
• Knowledge of claims, denials and payer processes
• Experience with revenue cycle modules of an EHR
• Ability to trace a financial problem to its operational cause
• Clear reporting to operational and finance leadership
• Attention to definition consistency in metrics

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding or billing credential
• Experience with contract modeling
