Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain mobile application features
  • Implement offline behavior and synchronisation where required
  • Optimize application performance, startup time and battery use
  • Manage app store submission, review and staged release
  • Support multiple operating system versions and device classes
  • Implement push notifications and deep linking
  • Write tests including UI automation
  • Monitor crash reporting and act on stability issues
  • Work with design on platform appropriate interaction patterns
  • Maintain the release process and its documentation

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of mobile development with shipped applications
  • Strong Swift, Kotlin, React Native or Flutter depending on the stack
  • Understanding of platform conventions and human interface guidelines
  • Experience with app store submission and release management
  • Skill at diagnosing crashes and performance issues on device
  • Understanding of offline first and synchronisation patterns
  • Testing practice covering UI and integration
  • Attention to release quality given limited rollback options

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both iOS and Android
  • Familiarity with mobile analytics and crash reporting tools
