Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve the visual brand identity
  • Create and maintain brand guidelines and their supporting assets
  • Design brand applications across digital, print and environmental surfaces
  • Ensure brand consistency across teams and external partners
  • Design campaign concepts and their visual expression
  • Develop illustration, photography and iconography direction
  • Work with product design on how the brand appears in the product
  • Brief and review work from external agencies and freelancers
  • Educate the organization on correct brand application
  • Assess how the brand performs against competitors

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, brand design or equivalent portfolio experience

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of brand or visual design experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating identity systems rather than individual assets
  • Strong conceptual thinking alongside execution
  • Experience writing and maintaining brand guidelines
  • Ability to apply a brand consistently across very different formats
  • Skill at briefing and directing other creatives
  • Understanding of how brand supports commercial objectives
  • Confidence presenting concepts to senior stakeholders
