- UX Recruiters and Staffing SpecialistsUX Engineer
The UX engineer sits between design and engineering, building the front end implementation of design work and often owning the coded design system. The role exists because the gap between a design file and a working interface is where quality is usually lost, and someone fluent in both disciplines closes it far more effectively than a handover document.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement design system components in code
- Build high fidelity prototypes for testing complex interactions
- Bridge design and engineering on feasibility and implementation detail
- Ensure implemented interfaces match the design intent
- Implement accessibility correctly at the component level
- Build tooling that connects design tokens to code
- Review front end implementation for design accuracy
- Contribute to design system documentation
- Prototype interactions that are difficult to convey in static design
- Advocate for implementation quality in both directions
