• 6+ years in design with experience leading designers
• Strong design judgment and ability to give useful critique
• Experience hiring designers and assessing portfolios
• Ability to advocate for design without becoming adversarial
• Good partnership with product and engineering counterparts
• Experience managing performance and development
• Understanding of design operations and process
• Clear communication with non design stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building a design team from a small base
• Background across both research and interface design
