This position calls for a solid understanding of fraud principles, familiarity with different control owners and functions, a command of business acumen, and the capacity to remain upbeat under pressure. You will assist in fraud investigations from start to finish to completely address the incident and prevent future fraud attempts. This often entails talking with the appropriate parties to scope the problem and outline the most effective remediation actions possible. As necessary, the situation may also be escalated. By addressing instances of fraud effectively, efficiently, and comprehensively, the fraud analyst will reduce the impact of those occurrences on our platform and for our customers.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze large volumes of data to identify potential fraud
- Produce reports to present relevant data to senior managers and stakeholders
- Facilitate all fraud incidents’ commencement, mitigation, recovery, and resolution
- Influence and inspire teams from a variety of domains and regions to ensure that high-risk incidents are handled quickly and effectively
- Identify and swiftly enlist the teams needed to address anticipated fraud pressure and fraud incidents
- Serve as a point of contact for different business and fraud groups to resolve short-term fraud incident mitigation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or computer science
Required Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of related experience conducting fraud investigations, managing fraud incidents, or managing major incidents while working in the fraud area
- Experience with fraud detection software and tools
- Experience with malware analysis, risk analysis, and risk management
- Ability to engage with and challenge colleagues across roles and degrees of seniority with confidence
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple high-pressure situations concurrently
- Strong teamwork abilities and the capacity to constructively impact teams in a changing environment
- Strong attention to detail
