We are looking to hire an experienced and enthusiastic AWS DevOps Engineer to provide hands-on development and support for all aspects of our AWS infrastructure and CI/CD environment. The primary responsibility of this role will be to build a scalable AI platform that includes configurable workflows, flexible APIs, and feature-rich UIs. This role will involve a mix of independent work and collaboration with engineering teams focused on AWS infrastructure and automation.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and manage an AWS production system
- Design, maintain, and manage automation of operational processes
- Ensure AWS systems are available, reliable, secure, and scalable
- Manage the creation, release, and configuration of production systems
- Provide primary support for cloud and enterprise deployments
- Lead teams in charge of designing, testing, and deploying changes to existing software
- Analyze manual processes to identify those that can be automated
- Maintain and improve the organization’s cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshoot issues across multiple application domains and platforms
- Collaborate with the core engineering team to lead the organization’s platform security efforts
- Develop policies and standards for the CI/CD environment
- Evaluate new technologies and products that can enhance or replace existing enterprise systems
- Recommend architecture and process improvements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in AWS environment operation and management
- Experience building AWS environments
- Experience using infrastructure as code
- Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language
- Experience with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, QuickSight, CloudFront, SQS, ElastiCache, and/or Lambda
- Experience with multi-tier architectures
- Experience creating automated infrastructures
- Experience in CI/CD
- Knowledge of operating system administration
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and securing AWS environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AWS disaster recovery design and deployment
