Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Analyze product, market, and share trends to build warehouse data
- Develop reporting systems to provide accessible information for decision making
- Generate reports using warehouse data to support business decision making and performance monitoring
- Design, build, and deploy business intelligence solutions
- Integrate business intelligence infrastructure with company data sources
- Maintain data analytics platforms
- Execute database queries and conduct analyses
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
- Evaluate and improve existing business intelligence systems
- Create visualizations and reports for projects
- Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence or data science
- Experience using business intelligence reporting tools
- Expertise in data and query optimization and query performance monitoring tools and techniques
- Knowledge of data warehouse design and data mining
- Knowledge of data modeling and data schemas
- Knowledge of database management systems, online analytical processing, and ETL frameworks
- Knowledge of business intelligence technologies such as Oracle BI and Microsoft Power BI
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
