DevOps Admin Job Description Template

This role will manage infrastructure projects and processes in collaboration with the DevOps team and senior leadership. Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
• Design, enable, and deliver scalable and automated infrastructure as code
• Handle code deployments in all environments
• Monitor metrics and identify and develop strategies for improvement
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
• Oversee day-to-day administration and management of projects
• Develop and implement software features using agile methodology
• Document and design various processes
• Update existing processes and improve infrastructure and application development
• Manage CI/CD tools in collaboration with the DevOps team
• Coordinate with other team members to plan capacity and scaling needs

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field

Required Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of experience in development and operations or a related IT or operations field
• Experience with software development, infrastructure development, or DevOps
• Experience with Linux infrastructures, CI/CD tools, and database SQL
• Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, or Ruby
• Knowledge of agile workflow methodologies
• Knowledge of technologies such as Openstack, AWS, Cloud Stack, Jenkins, and Maven
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
