The Salesforce Administrator plays a vital role in our organization, helping to optimize our business processes and define our product roadmap in addition to managing the day-to-day of our Salesforce operations. We are looking for a proactive professional with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and experience in all aspects of user management. This role will work with a team of IT professionals to ensure we are utilizing Salesforce effectively and efficiently. To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable interacting with users and working in a team environment, in addition to having an in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of user license and management, including new user setup, permissions, and public groups
- Resolve user support tickets
- Gather requirements from users and stakeholders
- Ensure optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products
- Upgrade and configure Salesforce systems for optimized integration
- Manage Salesforce profiles, roles, workflows, sharing rules, and groups
- Import sales department leads and other data
- Monitor use adoption of Salesforce tools and support team members in their use of the platform
- Implement Salesforce configuration changes, including custom settings, page layouts, fields, flows, record types, dashboards, and reports
- Perform database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing
- Document processes, including error reports and changes to field history tables
- Create training materials and provide ongoing user training
- Prepare reports for sales and other departments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience with the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems
- Experience performing Salesforce upgrades
- Experience creating and maintaining Salesforce databases
- Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes
- Experience in change management and governance
- Thorough knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities
- Knowledge of importing sales data and generating Salesforce reports
- Knowledge of Salesforce sharing and security
- Knowledge of technical documentation
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder
- Active in the Salesforce community
