Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision and lead the technological development of our organization
• Develop strategic plans and set timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services
• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy
• Identify opportunities for new web and mobile services
• Collaborate with cross-department teams and professionals as a technology advisor
• Establish technology standards and best practices and ensure they are met
• Monitor web analytics and make recommendations in alignment with business goals
• Supervise quality assurance processes, integration, and system tests
• Define the company’s standards for equipment, systems, and hardware
• Monitor KPIs, IT budgets, and system infrastructure
• Establish the software development process and set objectives for new development projects
• Train and mentor technology team members
• Maintain network security in collaboration with the IT team
• Analyze our current technology infrastructure and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop and implement disaster and emergency recovery plans
• Supervise the workflow of the IT department
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and software development
• Represent the organization at conferences and industry networking events
• Ensure our technological processes are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and requirements
• Communicate our technology strategy to both internal and external partners

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in an IT role
• 5+ years of experience in a technology leadership role
• Experience conducting technological analyses and research
• Experience with complex project management
• Experience with languages and tools including .NET, C#, SQL, jQuery, Angular, MongoDB, GItHub, AWS, Jode.JS, and Java/C
• Thorough knowledge of web systems architecture, design, and development
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of technological trends and strategy
• Knowledge of budgets and business planning
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in a relevant business or technology field
