We are looking for a UI/UX Specialist to help create products with an exceptional user experience that are engaging, fun, and functional for our customers. This role will be responsible for the design and implementation of all the experiences our users have interacting with our website and software. It will work closely with our marketing team and other developers to ensure a seamless web or mobile design and implement UI/UX best practices and principles across all of our digital platforms. As this role will interact with our users and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, our ideal candidate will be an energetic people-person who is comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather system requirements
- Develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand
- Plan and implement new designs
- Design wireframes and develop working prototypes for web and mobile applications
- Convert prototypes to HTML layouts using Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and SASS
- Design UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets
- Test UI elements including CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages
- Design print and motion graphics
- Maintain files and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with the marketing team and designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences
- Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, graphic design, or a related field
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design
- Experience designing for Android and iOS operating systems
- Experience using prototyping tools
- Experience conducting user testing
- Experience making design decisions based on requirements and feedback
- Portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of technology and software including Sketch, InVision, Visio, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
