Cloud Solutions Architect Job Description Template

Cloud Application Solutions Architects are the technical specialists who collaborate with our client account teams to identify, qualify, and build the solutions that support our clients’ digital business through application development and data engineering. The role involves collaborating closely with managing directors to drive sales campaigns. This person will also be responsible for creating awareness of world-class services that integrate with AWS, Google, Microsoft, VMware, and Confluent, while working closely with current and prospective customers to determine how we can best serve their application and data modernization initiatives.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to comprehend their strategic, business, and technical requirements, and create strategic architecture and digital roadmaps
• Identify client environment, process, and skill gaps with the intention of educating their teams and facilitating client enablement
• Explain complex solutions, architectures, and integrations with precision and clarity
• Articulate development methodology and engagement strategy for our modern app and data engineering-based services
• Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security standards and compliance best practices
• Partner with our practice leaders to continuously enhance our offerings in response to market demands, technological progress, and client innovation
• Serve as a thought leader by sharing best practices, establishing deep relationships with technical leaders, and contributing to publications, white papers, and conferences, among other things
• Collaborate with both sales and delivery to ensure the successful execution and implementation of projects

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of direct experience with public cloud, DevOps, modern apps, and/or data engineering-based service offerings (AWS, Google, Microsoft, VMware, Snowflake, Docker/Kubernetes, HashiCorp, Kafka, Spring, .NET)
• Deep understanding of the public cloud, DevOps, modern apps, and data technologies
• Ability to communicate confidently with executive level clients
• Knowledgeable about how to connect technology to business needs and outcomes
• Capable of inspiring others to achieve success
• Capable of working effectively within a team and with partner
• Capable of meeting customer deadlines
