Networking Specialist Job Description Template

We are seeking a Network Specialist to help improve our current network infrastructure. The key responsibilities of this role include setting up and maintaining our organization’s computer networks, as well as assessing our network to identify weaknesses or inefficiencies. • Provide network access and connectivity to end users

• Evaluate, test, and install network enhancements and updates
• Install hardware and software as needed to address network issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and records on the network performance
• Train employees on new programs and protocols related to the network
• Promote security awareness and compliance across the organization

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of experience in networking
• Experience as a network administrator or technician
• Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP networking, security, and routing protocols
• Thorough knowledge of Windows, OS/X, and Unix operating systems
• Knowledge of access, administration, application server, and configuration management software
• Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
