We are looking for a Risk Analyst with strong experience to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing risk, coordinating audit visits, and collecting and preparing data from various business units. In addition, it will assist and support management and the risk team across its functions, including coordinating resolutions, creating board reporting, and owning risk action reports to be circulated to senior leadership. Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Research accounts and assist with investigations
- Analyze portfolios and strategies to identify risk and performance drivers
- Monitor quality control results for trends and risk indicators
- Manage and reconcile reports
- Conduct on-site audits and monitor staffing changes and risk levels
- Review and research complaints, draft responses, and track these responses in a timely manner
- Coordinate all audit visits and work with business units to gather requested items for audits
- Create risk management reports
- Expand current risk infrastructure to facilitate efficient risk management and improve understanding of portfolio construction
- Support compliance operations and monitor points of control
- Oversee risk management best practices and improvement activities
- Utilize risk management software to enhance monitoring and improve efficiency
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, finance, or a related field
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in risk mitigation or management
- Experience with Excel and Power BI
- Experience dealing with large data sets
- Experience designing and implementing effective information security controls with minimal oversight
- Proficiency in SQL and quantitative programming
- Knowledge of information security and privacy fundamentals
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, or ISO 27000
- Knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer service
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CISA, or CCSP
