The Database Developer will work as a member of the business planning team to deliver accurate data to legal and HR clients, and analyze that data to identify compliance risk and improvement opportunities. The person should flourish in a data-rich environment where they are in charge of pulling data from our systems and turning it into useful analysis and reporting, dashboards, and projections that support the needs of the business. To help with short- and long-term business decisions and enhance performance, this analyst will have a natural desire to recognize and evaluate trends. This person will need to establish and maintain consultative connections with all client organizations and important partner groups in order to assist in achieving this.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the analytical platform, technologies, and solutions used by both internal and external teams
- Actively participate in strategic business conversations to advance corporate objectives
- Provide and maintain regular reporting of operational metrics, including efficiency, effectiveness, controls, and services
- Ensure consistent business issue reporting, forecasting, and diagnostic assessments
- Establish connections with executives and commercial partners to ensure information integration and connectivity
- Analyze business processes and tactics to improve their quality and efficiency
- Set priorities for numerous connected projects while tracking and sharing development
- Extract, analyze, and present data using Microsoft software tools and HR systems
- Analyze data, spot trends and patterns, and present the findings so that all levels of leadership can understand them
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or a related field
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience working with large relational databases with advanced SQL techniques
- Demonstrated aptitude for computer science and programming utilizing SAS, R, Java, Python, Spark, or a similar language
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting skills over a broad technology stack
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytical abilities
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software systems
- Experience managing and preserving sensitive information
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to combine various data inputs to provide a client-actionable tale
- Self-motivated with strong time and task management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues of all levels
