Digital Media Planner and Buyer Job Description Template

We are seeking a Digital Media Planner and Buyer to work in an exciting and creative environment.The digital campaign manager will collaborate with current digital, marketing analytics, and marketing automation platforms to achieve tactical and operational marketing results on a wide range of initiatives. This is a fantastic chance to work on multiple campaigns to boost the effectiveness of marketing programs.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and improve digital advertising campaigns using Google Ads, paid social, native ad networks, CM360, DV360, and other programmatic DSPs 
  • Work with and assist media strategists and give recommendations 
  • Measure, report, and compare campaign effectiveness to goals for digital marketing
  • Recognize trends and insights related to campaigns and improve spending and strategies based on these insights
  • Write POVs about vendors or methods

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, advertising or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience with Google Ads
  • 1+ year of proven expertise using programmatic display DSP
  • Expertise with social ads, and knowledge of various new ad buying platforms
  • Expertise with Google Campaign Manager reporting and trafficking
  • Working knowledge of web analytics technologies like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Working knowledge of media research tools (Kantar, Pathmatics, Commspoint, Nielsen Media Impact, IMS, MRI, ComScore, etc.) and ability to analyze syndicated research
  • Experience with Programmatic/Display, such as Google Campaign Manager and Display & Video 360
  • Previous experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience with social platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn Snapchat, Pinterest, and Tik Tok
