Our eCommerce department, which has a sizable online presence, needs the expertise and management of a skilled eCommerce Marketing consultant. They will guide decision making regarding the website, email marketing, and online search advertising, as well as being in charge of conducting research and creating fresh web marketing plans. This role will communicate closely with web designers to assess the format and features of our website and make improvements to maximize customer clarity and navigational simplicity. The ideal candidate will be up-to-date on current marketing trends and best practices to increase search engine traffic, effectiveness of targeted ad buys, and traffic conversion. 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor website performance and communicate necessary changes to web designers
  • Assess the website user experience using methods such as heat map research and user testing
  • Conduct research on the key demographics of the business and the best ways to contact them
  • Update website landing pages, website features, and apps. 
  • Create a financial plan that will make the most of their resources and plan for e-marketing expenses well in advance
  • Create revenue forecasts and provide financial KPIs to create a revenue strategy
  • Communicate new developments or initiatives to enhance the company’s online presence and e-sales with senior management
  • Monitor email marketing KPIs and create marketing plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Create reports, observe sales patterns, and forecast future expansion using analytical software and offer data-based recommendations
  • Lead a group of employees and assign duties according to talent levels
  • Promote new projects to management and potential clients using presentation software

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working as a digital marketing consultant
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Email Marketing Analytics, and Shopify Analytics
  • Knowledge of lead generation, social media, and SEO best practices
  • Thorough understanding of spreadsheets, databases, financial analysis, website design, search engine optimization, and e-marketing strategy
  • Working knowledge of CSS and HTML
  • Experience with online sales portals, including Shopify, Magento, Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, and comparable websites
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience creating presentations using software like PowerPoint
  • Strong organization, analytical, problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
