Paid Media Search Specialist Job Description Template

We are seeking a passionate paid search specialist to transform our paid search marketing campaigns. The primary responsibility of this role is to set up and manage our paid search marketing and online advertising. It will also work with our digital marketing team to create campaigns that maximize our online presence and conversions. To have success in this role, you should be experienced at designing, buying, and managing paid search campaigns, and have the ability to identify key demographic and geographic features of target audiences. Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm ideas for marketing campaigns and paid advertising
  • Collaborate with other digital marketers, including SEO specialists, content marketers, and web developers to align campaign strategies and goals across the organization
  • Define campaign budgets, align campaign goals, and ensure adherence to search optimization principles
  • Conduct in-depth keyword and website research
  • Create and manage search engine marketing campaigns
  • Build out media buys for various ad platforms and oversee the day-to-day execution of paid media
  • Develop, execute, and optimize digital campaigns from conception to launch
  • Meet with clients to determine their goals and budget
  • Advise clients and stakeholders on costs, expectations, outcomes, and processes
  • Identify and present new avenues of paid advertising
  • Monitor and analyze web analytics and campaign performance
  • Provide actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure a positive ROI on campaign spending

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, information technology, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience as a paid search marketer or in the paid search space
  • Experience working with demand-side channels and advertising platforms
  • Experience with campaign performance analysis and digital traffic metrics
  • Thorough knowledge of demand-side platforms
  • Knowledge of PPC marketing principles and their best application
  • Strong data and analytics skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a PPC specialist or paid search specialist
