As a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager on our team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the company’s SEO strategy. This role works with the SEO and marketing teams to maximize the ROI of paid advertising and drive traffic and customers to the site. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage paid search campaigns and all other pay-per-click (PPC) marketing activities, as well as the paid search budget
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement SEO strategies
- Perform thorough keyword research
- Track, analyze, and report on PPC initiatives and campaigns
- Identify and monitor SEO KPIs such as redirects, bounce rate, and click rate
- Work with developers and marketing teams to implement SEO best practices
- Develop a buyer persona to better target ideal audiences
- Execute tests, analyze data, and identify trends to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
- Manage paid search budget and expenses, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
- Identify areas for improvement in the company’s online presence and work process and suggest changes to optimize productivity
- Optimize landing pages and website copy for paid search campaigns
- Research and analyze competitor advertising links
- Prepare and present reports on our SEM and SEO strategy and campaign results
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience planning and implementing successful SEO strategies
- Experience in web analytics, marketing, and business development
- Experience with A/B testing and other test metrics
- Experience with bid management tools
- Experience with website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, WebTrends, and/or NetInsight
- Knowledge of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS; and JavaScript
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytic skills
