In this role, you will provide strategic leadership from a product and market perspective to our management team. A successful candidate should have experience delegating tasks, setting and achieving goals, making decisions under pressure, and building relationships with professionals across an organization.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze current branding and marketing strategies to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness
- Lead the marketing team and delegate tasks to them appropriately
- Prepare and review marketing budgets and allocate resources accordingly
- Oversee marketing campaigns and analyze their results to improve future performance
- Conduct market research and implement new strategies based on your findings
- Track competitor activities and apply what you learn to our marketing efforts
- Set goals and targets at the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly level, and implement plans and incentives to ensure they are achieved
- Stay current on industry trends and share this information with the leadership and marketing teams
- Conceptualize and supervise launches and marketing events
- Report on marketing metrics to leadership
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, PR, or a related field
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing role
- Experience in a leadership role in the marketing area
- Experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
- Experience with SEO and demand generation channels such as SEM, email, lifecycle marketing, and content syndication
- Experience making difficult decisions in an ambiguous situation or with imperfect information
- Thorough knowledge of marketing best practices and market research methodologies
- Proficiency with Google AdWords and web analytics
- Strong observation and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in marketing, communication, or a similar field
