In this role, you will help the organization solve business challenges and deliver products by championing agile approaches and product-led ways of working. You will analyze our existing infrastructure to improve its efficiency, as well as coaching and guiding individuals and teams to a better understanding of Agile methodologies. This is a crucial position where you will impact the organization’s long-term strategy and ability to reach our business vision.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide practical and tailored coaching, both technical and non-technical, in a variety of contexts to help the firm adopt and embed new ways of working
- Train and mentor teams and leaders in scrum practices and agile principles
- Lead meetings to review project progress with teams, as well as follow-ups with individual team members to ensure organizational goals are met
- Contribute to and promote the company’s Global Agile Community, internal agile documentation, and other initiatives
- Collaborate as teammates with other Agile Coaches and agilists in the organization
- Assist teams with resource allocation to support and maintain agile practices
Education
- ICF ACC accreditation or equivalent certification level from other bodies
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience with scrum, kanban, scaled agile frameworks (SAFe) or agile coaching
- Deep understanding of agile and lean, from mindset and values to practices and tools
- Proven self-growth in agile, lean and coaching skills
- Knowledgeable of the differences between coaching, mentoring, facilitating and teaching, and when each approach is applicable
- Proven track record working with teams, managers and senior leaders to resolve business challenges at the system level
- Experience developing and using metrics to define desired outcomes and inform decisions
- Working knowledge of agile software development, organizational change, and value-driven business strategies, with experience in at least one of those areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Agile coaching in a financial services or big technology organization
- Experience partnering with project management offices or product delivery offices to deliver value using an Agile mindset
- Understanding of several ways in which Agile can be scaled at large organizations (e.g. SAFe, LeSS, DaD, or other less formal models) and a proven track record of coaching teams as they scale
