The Salesforce Administrator plays a vital role in our organization, helping to optimize our business processes and define our product roadmap in addition to managing the day-to-day of our Salesforce operations. We are looking for a proactive professional with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and experience in all aspects of user management. This role will work with a team of IT professionals to ensure we are utilizing Salesforce effectively and efficiently. To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable interacting with users and working in a team environment, in addition to having an in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform. 

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of user license and management, including new user setup, permissions, and public groups
  • Resolve user support tickets
  • Gather requirements from users and stakeholders
  • Ensure optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products
  • Upgrade and configure Salesforce systems for optimized integration
  • Manage Salesforce profiles, roles, workflows, sharing rules, and groups
  • Import sales department leads and other data
  • Monitor use adoption of Salesforce tools and support team members in their use of the platform
  • Implement Salesforce configuration changes, including custom settings, page layouts, fields, flows, record types, dashboards, and reports
  • Perform database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing
  • Document processes, including error reports and changes to field history tables
  • Create training materials and provide ongoing user training
  • Prepare reports for sales and other departments

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience with the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems
  • Experience performing Salesforce upgrades
  • Experience creating and maintaining Salesforce databases
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes
  • Experience in change management and governance
  • Thorough knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities
  • Knowledge of importing sales data and generating Salesforce reports
  • Knowledge of Salesforce sharing and security
  • Knowledge of technical documentation
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder
  • Active in the Salesforce community
