We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator to manage our SharePoint environment. This role is responsible for configuring our SharePoint platform, including adding document libraries, developing shared storage space, converting processes into SharePoint workflows, and finding solutions to enhance business activity and customize sites based on our business needs. To succeed in this, you should have the ability to create positive end-user experiences, and to utilize that expertise to facilitate smooth integrations and efficient online collaboration.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Integrate applications and create libraries for the SharePoint platform
- Add users, control access to libraries, and set permissions
- Create web parts, lists, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation permissions, and data management
- Build workflow forms using SharePoint Designer and PowerApps/Flow
- Monitor SharePoint software for glitches or problems and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Oversee the maintenance of SharePoint
- Maintain the network infrastructure, encryption, security zones, and firewalls
- Manage and revise the site layout
- Analyze daily user activity
- Perform version updates and upgrades
- Maintain records of updates, maintenance, and activity
- Report updates and information about use to company leadership
- Provide technical support and training to users
- Perform data retrieval and backup procedures
- Perform clean-ups and archive data to ensure sufficient storage space
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a SharePoint developer or administrator role
- Experience building, developing, and administrating sites in hybrid environments
- Thorough knowledge of Windows operating systems, SQL server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and unit testing
- Knowledge of the .NET framework, Azure Active Directory, and SharePoint site configuration
- Knowledge of best practices for maintaining information security
- Knowledge of website layouts and HTML
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
