Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design team to review website and application requirements
  • Set tasks and development goals
  • Configure SharePoint systems to specified requirements
  • Develop new web components using XML, .NET, SQL, and C#
  • Build new landing pages, department templates, newsletters, banners, and videos accessible to any device
  • Implement, deploy, package, and maintain new intranet portal sites and SharePoint sites
  • Design, code, and implement scalable applications
  • Code pages using HTML5, JavaScript, and Typescript
  • Extend SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies
  • Test and debug code
  • Review website interface and software stability
  • Troubleshoot software issues
  • Maintain and update SharePoint applications
  • Provide system training to staff and customers

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a SharePoint developer role
  • Experience building sites in hybrid environments
  • Experience in client interaction and involvement
  • Experience with business applications and business data flow
  • Experience creating and/or managing collaborative sites and programs
  • Thorough knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET frameworks
  • Knowledge of SDLC process, unit testing, and packing to deploy
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MOSS or WSS certification
