The Client

Headquartered in the New York City area, our client is a Fortune 500 insurance company that serves customers worldwide resulting in more than $10 billion in annual revenue.

The Challenge

Our client was looking for a new Chief Information Officer that could come in and lead a 500-person IT team with global operations. The IT team was ready to take numerous initiatives in their continued digital transformation including cloud migrations, SaaS implementations and ITSM improvements and needed a CIO that could lead the charge. Additionally, our client needed a strong candidate that was already experienced as a CIO leading a Fortune 500 IT organization to ensure the new CIO would be well-equipped and wouldn’t be overwhelmed by leading such a large IT program.

The Result

Our client reached out to our team due to nexus IT group’s experience in IT Executive recruiting. We met with the hiring team to really understand the in’s and out’s of the IT organization and what the ideal candidate would look like. We began confidentially sourcing and screening CIOs across the country from other Fortune 500 companies and shortlisted the most qualified candidates. We led the interview process for numerous candidates and narrowed it down to our client’s top two candidates. We were heavily involved in the offer and negotiation process and our candidate began a month later as the new CIO for our client.
