• Deep understanding of the regulatory and safety implications of technical decisions
• Ability to set direction over a decade long product horizon
• Strong grasp of device cybersecurity expectations
• Credibility with the board, investors and regulators
• Experience building senior technical teams
• Commercial judgment about technology investment
